Free Credit Counseling Services By A Certified Credit Counselor
For the years, Simple Credit Counseling Service has been providing free, professional and confidential credit counseling services.
We know that picking up the phone and making that first call can be unsettling. Our credit counselors have worked with thousands of others that were in a situation similar to yours. Our credit counselors work with people from all walks of life and all income levels. You may choose to have an immediate telephone counseling session or you may schedule an appointment. Rest assured, our credit counselors are professional, caring and ready to help you.
During the counseling session, a certified credit counselor will work with you to get a clear understanding of your total financial situation. This is important because it helps the credit counselor determine different options or steps you may take to better manage your money and get your credit under control.

What to Expect
First, the credit counselor will determine your net monthly income and ask you various questions that will help to estimate your monthly expenses. Some expenses, like the monthly rent or mortgage payment are easy to determine. But others such as groceries or gifts can be more difficult to get a handle on.
To get the most out of your credit counseling session, it may be helpful for you to review any grocery or ATM receipts you have, scan your checkbook register and do a mental inventory of items you typically spend money on throughout the year.
Second, after comparing monthly income with expenses, it's not uncommon for our clients to find they have a shortfall. To put it another way -- more month than money! During the second phase of the counseling session, the counselor will assist you in developing a balanced monthly spending plan. This is the key step to getting back on track financially.
The credit counselor will recommend ways to increase your income, cut back on expenses or even restructure some of your debts.
In addition, the credit counselor may refer you to other state or national resources that may be of help.
Finally, if it is appropriate, the counselor will recommend a special Debt Management Program to help you get back on track with your creditors and out of debt in a relatively short time period!
